Crownfall Network

Code of Conduct

Effective date: 12 August 2026  ·  Last updated: 28 October 2026

This Code of Conduct sets out the behaviour we expect on the Crownfall Network game servers, websites and Discord server. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and breaking it may lead to the enforcement action described in section 7 of those Terms.

The principle behind every rule below. Play fairly, treat other people decently, and do not spoil the game for anyone else. Where a situation is not covered by a specific rule, staff will apply that principle.

1. Who this applies to

1.1. This Code applies to every player, every content creator, and every member of staff, on all Crownfall Network game servers, on our websites, and in our Discord server.

1.2. It applies to public chat, team and clan chat, private messages sent through our services, usernames, clan names and tags, skins, and anything you build or display in game.

1.3. Conduct that takes place outside our services may be considered where it directly affects the safety of our players, for example credible threats or the sharing of another player's private information.

2. Fair play

2.1. Do not use cheats, hacked clients, unauthorised modifications, macros, bots, or any third party program that gives an advantage the game does not intend. This includes flight, speed, reach, aim assistance, x-ray, automatic clicking, and automated farming or fishing.

2.2. Do not exploit bugs, duplication methods, or unintended behaviour. If you find one, report it to staff. Keeping it to yourself, or using it and telling others, is treated as a serious breach.

2.3. Do not team up in a way that a game mode forbids, for example cooperating with another player in a solo mode to eliminate everyone else.

2.4. Do not deliberately throw a match, stall a game to waste other players' time, or repeatedly leave games to manipulate statistics or matchmaking.

2.5. Do not use an alternative account to gain an advantage, to farm kills or statistics, or to fill a lobby.

2.6. Do not trap, block or grief in a way that prevents another player from playing normally, including spawn trapping outside the rules of a mode and sealing players inside structures.

3. Respect for other people

3.1. Treat everyone with basic courtesy. Competitive banter is fine. Personal attacks are not.

3.2. Do not harass, threaten, intimidate, or repeatedly target another player, including by following them between games to disrupt their play.

3.3. Do not use slurs or hateful language, and do not attack anyone on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.

3.4. Do not sexualise any conversation involving a minor, and do not share sexual content anywhere on our services. Any content that sexualises a child will be removed, the account will be permanently banned, and we will report it to the appropriate authorities.

3.5. Do not encourage self harm or suicide. If someone tells you they are in danger, tell a member of staff rather than engaging with it yourself, and encourage them to contact local emergency services or a crisis line.

3.6. Do not share another person's private information, including real names, addresses, telephone numbers, school or workplace names, social media accounts, or photographs, without their clear consent.

4. Chat and communication

4.1. Chat on our services is recorded so that reports can be investigated fairly. Treat all chat as public and not private.

4.2. Keep chat in a form that is suitable for a mixed age audience. Excessive profanity, sexual content, and graphic descriptions of violence are not permitted.

4.3. Do not spam, flood chat, repeat the same message, or use excessive capital letters, symbols or emojis to disrupt conversation.

4.4. Do not advertise or recruit for other servers, communities, shops or services without our written permission. Sharing your own content, such as a video you made on our network, is welcome in the channels set aside for it.

4.5. Do not attempt to evade the chat filter by deliberately misspelling words, spacing letters, or substituting characters.

4.6. Do not send scam links, phishing links, malware, or unsolicited private messages asking for account details, payments or gifts.

4.7. Speak in English in public channels where a channel is designated as English, so that moderators can supervise it. Other languages are welcome in channels set aside for them and in private conversation.

5. Accounts and identity

5.1. Do not share, sell, buy, rent, gift or trade accounts.

5.2. Do not impersonate another player, a member of staff, a content creator, or any organisation, including through your username, skin, clan tag, or Discord nickname.

5.3. Do not evade a mute, ban or other restriction by using another account, a proxy, or a virtual private network. Evasion extends the original penalty and may make it permanent.

5.4. Usernames, skins, clan names and clan tags must comply with this Code. We may reset any of them where they do not.

5.5. Keep your account secure. You are responsible for what happens through it, so do not give your credentials to anyone, including anyone claiming to be staff. Staff will never ask for your password.

6. Trading and real money

6.1. Virtual items, virtual currency, ranks and accounts must not be exchanged for real money or for anything of value outside the Service. See section 8 of the Terms of Service.

6.2. Do not run gambling, lotteries, or wagering of any kind using virtual items or currency.

6.3. Do not solicit donations or payments from other players, and do not promise in game benefits in return for money.

6.4. Scamming another player out of items, currency, or clan position through deception is a breach of this Code, whether or not real money is involved.

7. Clans and clan wars

7.1. Clan names, tags and descriptions must comply with this Code.

7.2. Do not create a clan for the purpose of harassing another clan or player.

7.3. Do not arrange a war result in advance, throw a war, or use alternative accounts to inflate a clan's record.

7.4. Clan leaders are expected to manage their members. A clan whose members repeatedly breach this Code may be restricted or disbanded.

7.5. Wars are recorded so that disputes can be reviewed. A result may be corrected by staff where the recording shows that it was obtained in breach of this Code.

8. Reporting a problem

8.1. Use the in game /report command to report a player. Filing a report in game saves a short recording of the reported behaviour for a moderator to review. If you cannot report in game, use the Report a Player form.

8.2. Give an accurate reason. Do not file false or malicious reports, and do not use the report system to harass another player.

8.3. Do not attempt to punish another player yourself, and do not encourage others to pile on. Report the behaviour and let staff handle it.

8.4. To report a member of staff, or anything sensitive, use the Contact Us form or email [email protected] rather than posting it publicly.

9. How we enforce

9.1. We aim to make enforcement proportionate. The usual progression is a warning, then a mute or temporary suspension, then a longer suspension, then a permanent ban.

9.2. We may go straight to a permanent ban without earlier steps for serious breaches, including cheating, exploiting, threats of violence, sexual content involving a minor, sharing another person's private information, and evasion of an existing penalty.

9.3. Some detections are automated. An automated restriction may be reviewed by a human moderator on request through the appeals process.

9.4. Items or currency obtained in breach of this Code may be removed. Statistics obtained in breach may be reset.

9.5. Enforcement action does not entitle you to a refund. See section 7.5 of the Terms of Service.

10. Appeals

10.1. If you believe a mute, kick or ban was wrong, you may appeal at crownfallnetwork.com/appeal. Sign in with the Microsoft account you play on and choose the punishment you are appealing. Only punishments you are currently serving can be appealed.

10.2. Signing in identifies your account and your punishment, so you do not need to type your username. Explain why you believe the action was wrong. If you were punished fairly, saying so honestly and explaining what will change carries more weight than denying it.

10.3. Appeal once and wait for a reply. When you submit an appeal you receive a tracking id, and you can check its status at any time at crownfallnetwork.com/track. A second appeal sent while one is still under review is closed as a duplicate, and arguing an appeal in public channels will not speed it up.

10.4. We aim to review appeals within a reasonable time. The decision of the reviewing staff member is final.

11. Staff conduct

11.1. Staff are held to this Code and to a higher standard of behaviour, because they act on our behalf.

11.2. Staff must not abuse their access. That includes viewing player data without a moderation reason, using administrative tools for personal advantage, and acting on a matter in which they have a personal interest.

11.3. Administrative actions are logged, and those logs are reviewed.

11.4. If you believe a staff member has acted improperly, report it using the Contact Us form or by emailing [email protected]. Reports about staff are reviewed by someone other than the person complained about wherever possible.
