Effective date: 12 August 2026 · Last updated: 28 October 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Crownfall Network Minecraft servers, the websites at crownfallnetwork.com and its subdomains, the associated Discord server, and any related services (together, the "Service"). Please read them carefully. They form a binding agreement between you and the operator of the Service.
Summary, provided for convenience only. Be respectful, do not cheat, and do not try to break the Service. Purchases buy a licence to use virtual items, not ownership of them. We record chat and some gameplay so that we can moderate fairly. If you break the rules your access may be suspended or terminated without a refund. This summary is not part of the agreement and does not replace the sections below.
1.1. The Service is operated by Crownfall Network, a company incorporated in the United States of America (referred to in these Terms as "we", "us" or "our").
1.2. References in these Terms to our rights and obligations are references to that company.
1.3. Contact details are set out in section 21.
2.1. By connecting to any Crownfall Network game server, by using our websites, by joining our Discord server, or by making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by the documents referred to in them, including our Privacy Policy and our Code of Conduct.
2.2. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2.3. If you use the Service on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have authority to bind that person to these Terms.
3.1. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If the minimum age of digital consent in your country is higher than 13, you must have reached that age instead.
3.2. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the Service and for any purchases made through your account.
3.3. You must hold a valid Minecraft account and comply with the terms that apply to it. We may refuse access to any person we reasonably believe does not meet these requirements.
3.4. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. If you believe a child below that age has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can remove it.
4.1. Crownfall Network is not an official Minecraft product. We are not approved by, associated with, or endorsed by Mojang Studios, Microsoft Corporation, or any of their affiliates.
4.2. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios. Your use of the Minecraft client is governed by the terms and policies published by Mojang Studios and Microsoft, including the Minecraft End User Licence Agreement and the Minecraft Usage Guidelines. Nothing in these Terms overrides those terms, and where these Terms conflict with them in respect of the Minecraft client, those terms take precedence.
4.3. Discord is a service of Discord Inc. Your use of our Discord server is additionally governed by the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
5.1. Your identity on the Service is derived from your Minecraft account. We may also allow you to link a Discord account and, for staff, to hold a separate administration panel login.
5.2. You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account, including activity by anyone you allow to use it. You must not share, sell, rent, gift or transfer your account or any linked account.
5.3. You must keep any password or credential we issue to you confidential, and you must notify us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
5.4. Account linking is a convenience and may be withdrawn. We may unlink accounts, refuse to link accounts, or require re-verification where we reasonably suspect misuse, error or a security risk.
5.5. We may reclaim, rename or reassign a username where it is offensive, impersonates another person, infringes rights, or was obtained in breach of these Terms.
6.1. You must comply with our Code of Conduct, which forms part of these Terms and sets out our behavioural rules in detail.
6.2. Without limiting the Code of Conduct, you must not:
6.3. You must not use the Service in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation, including sanctions, export control, and anti money laundering laws.
7.1. Recording. To keep the Service fair and safe, we record and retain certain activity, which may include public and team chat messages, commands you run, connection records, and short recordings of gameplay generated automatically by our anti cheat system or when a player report is filed. Details of what we collect and how long we keep it are set out in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that this recording takes place.
7.2. Enforcement. We may take any action we consider reasonable and proportionate in response to a breach of these Terms, including issuing a warning, muting, kicking, temporarily suspending or permanently banning an account, removing content, reversing transactions, removing virtual items, or restricting access to parts of the Service.
7.3. Automated systems. Some enforcement is assisted by automated detection. Automated detections are subject to review by a human moderator on request through the appeals process described in section 7.4.
7.4. Appeals. You may appeal a mute, kick or ban that you are currently serving at crownfallnetwork.com/appeal, signing in with the Microsoft account you play on. You will receive a tracking id, and you can check the status of your appeal at crownfallnetwork.com/track. We aim to review appeals within a reasonable time. Our decision on an appeal is final.
7.5. No compensation. Except where the law requires otherwise, you are not entitled to any refund, credit, or compensation for any period during which your access is restricted as a result of a breach of these Terms, or for any virtual item removed for that reason.
7.6. Cooperation with authorities. We may report unlawful activity to the police or other competent authorities and may disclose information to them where we are legally required or permitted to do so.
8.1. The Service may make available virtual currency (for example "Jewels"), virtual items, cosmetic effects, passes, and ranks (together, "Virtual Items").
8.2. Virtual Items have no monetary value. They are not your property, are not a deposit or a stored value instrument, are not redeemable for money or anything of value outside the Service, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
8.3. When you obtain a Virtual Item, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non transferable, non sublicensable licence to use that Virtual Item within the Service. You do not acquire ownership of it or of any underlying intellectual property.
8.4. We may change, rebalance, restrict, suspend, or remove any Virtual Item at any time, including for game balance, technical, legal or operational reasons. We will use reasonable efforts to give notice of material changes, and where a paid Virtual Item is permanently withdrawn we will consider a fair remedy on request, which may include a substitute item.
8.5. Your licence to use Virtual Items ends when your account is terminated or when the Service, or the relevant part of it, is discontinued.
8.6. Virtual Items obtained through a bug, exploit, duplication method, or any breach of these Terms may be removed without notice and without compensation.
9.1. Purchases may be made through the website or in game. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as our merchant of record and as the seller of record for those transactions. We do not receive or store your full card details. Your use of the payment provider is also subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy.
9.2. Prices are shown at the point of purchase and are stated in the currency displayed. Because our payment provider acts as merchant of record, any sales tax, value added tax or goods and services tax that applies to your purchase is calculated and collected by that provider at checkout, and will be shown to you before you pay. You remain responsible for any other charges that apply to you, including currency conversion charges imposed by your bank.
9.3. Delivery of a Virtual Item is normally immediate or shortly after payment is confirmed. If delivery fails, contact us and we will deliver the item or provide a refund of that item.
9.4. Subscriptions. Some passes are sold as recurring subscriptions. If you buy a subscription, you authorise us and our payment provider to charge the applicable fee on each renewal date until you cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then current price for the same period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
9.5. You may cancel a subscription at any time through your payment provider or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless the law requires otherwise, cancellation does not refund the current billing period, and your benefits continue until the end of the period already paid for.
9.6. We may change prices from time to time. A price change applies to a subscription from the next renewal after we give you reasonable notice.
9.7. You must only make payments using a payment method you are authorised to use. Where a payer is under the age of majority, the account holder of the payment method must consent to the purchase.
10.1. Virtual Items are digital content that is supplied and consumed immediately. To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except as set out in this section, all purchases are final and non refundable.
10.2. Statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms limits any right of withdrawal, cancellation, or refund that you have under the mandatory consumer law of your country. Where such a right applies, you may exercise it by contacting us using the details in section 21.
10.3. We may, at our discretion, provide a refund or a credit where an item was not delivered, was delivered incorrectly, was purchased in demonstrable error, or was purchased without the authority of the payment method holder.
10.4. Chargebacks. If you dispute a payment with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us, we may suspend or permanently ban the associated accounts and remove any Virtual Items connected to the disputed payment, and may decline future purchases from you. We ask that you contact us first so that we can resolve the matter directly.
10.5. A refund granted in respect of a purchase results in the removal of the Virtual Items obtained through that purchase.
11.1. "User Content" means anything you submit, transmit, build, or display through the Service, including chat messages, usernames, clan names and tags, structures you build, screenshots you share with us, custom skins, and support communications.
11.2. You retain any rights you already hold in your User Content.
11.3. You grant us a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, display and distribute your User Content, for the purposes of operating, moderating, securing, improving and promoting the Service. This licence continues for as long as we retain the relevant content and ends when the content is deleted from our active systems and routine backups.
11.4. You confirm that you have the rights necessary to grant this licence and that your User Content does not infringe the rights of any other person.
11.5. We are not obliged to monitor User Content, but we may review, screen, filter, refuse, edit or remove any User Content at our discretion, including by automated means.
11.6. Copyright complaints. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us through our Copyright and Legal Contact form or by email, with a description of the work, the location of the material, your contact details, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We will review and, where appropriate, remove the material.
12.1. The Service, including its server software, plugins, configurations, custom maps, resource packs, artwork, branding, text and layout, is owned by us or licensed to us, and is protected by intellectual property laws.
12.2. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non transferable licence to access and use the Service for your own personal, non commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms.
12.3. You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Service, except to the extent that such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
12.4. You must not use our name, logo or branding in a way that suggests sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement without our prior written permission.
12.5. Content creators may record and publish videos or streams of gameplay on the Service, including monetised content, provided that the content complies with these Terms, does not misrepresent the Service, and does not promote cheating or the sale of accounts or items.
13.1. The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free.
13.2. Parts of the Service are under active development and may be offered on a testing or preview basis. Features may change, be reset, or be withdrawn. Game worlds, statistics, leaderboards and non purchased progress may be reset where we consider it necessary, and we will use reasonable efforts to give notice where a reset is planned.
13.3. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. If we permanently discontinue the whole Service, we will use reasonable efforts to give at least thirty days notice on our website, and we will stop taking new subscription payments from the date of that notice.
13.4. We may perform maintenance that makes the Service temporarily unavailable, and we will try to schedule planned maintenance to limit disruption.
14.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non infringement, or quiet enjoyment.
14.2. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or the servers that make it available are free of harmful components.
14.3. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including under consumer protection law.
15.1. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
15.2. Subject to section 15.1, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, opportunity, data, or Virtual Items, however caused and under any theory of liability.
15.3. Subject to section 15.1, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service and these Terms is limited to the greater of the total amount you paid to us in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or ten United States dollars.
15.4. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by the law of your jurisdiction.
16.1. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or connected with your breach of these Terms, your User Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of any other person.
16.2. This section does not apply where you are a consumer and the applicable consumer law prohibits such an indemnity.
17.1. You may stop using the Service at any time. You may ask us to close your account and delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
17.2. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, if we reasonably suspect fraud or a risk to other players or to the Service, or if we discontinue the Service.
17.3. Where the breach is minor and capable of being remedied, we will normally give you notice and an opportunity to remedy it before terminating your access.
17.4. On termination, your licence to use the Service and any Virtual Items ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including sections 8.2, 11.3, 14, 15, 16, 19 and 20, continue to apply.
18.1. We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service, to our practices, or to the law.
18.2. We will publish the updated Terms on this page and change the "Last updated" date. Where a change materially reduces your rights, we will use reasonable efforts to give at least fourteen days notice, for example by an in game announcement, a website notice, or a message in our Discord server.
18.3. If you continue to use the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Service, and you may cancel any subscription in accordance with section 9.5.
19.1. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the State of California and the federal laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict of law rules.
19.2. The state and federal courts located in the State of California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, and you and we consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
19.3. If you are a consumer resident in a country whose law grants you the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country, or the right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country, nothing in this section deprives you of that protection or that right.
19.4. Before starting any formal proceedings, we ask that you contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter informally. Most disputes can be settled that way.
20.1. Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Code of Conduct, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the Service, and replace any earlier agreement on that subject.
20.2. Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision is severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue in force.
20.3. Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign these Terms to a successor of the Service or to an entity formed to operate it, provided that your rights under these Terms are not reduced.
20.4. No waiver. A failure to enforce a provision of these Terms is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
20.5. No partnership. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, agency, employment or joint venture relationship between you and us. Volunteer staff act on our behalf only within the scope we set and are not employees unless expressly engaged as such.
20.6. Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by an event beyond our reasonable control, including network failure, hosting provider outage, power failure, natural disaster, or act of government.
20.7. Language. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience, and the English version prevails in the event of a conflict.
21.1. To appeal a punishment, use crownfallnetwork.com/appeal. For a copyright complaint or other legal notice, use our Copyright and Legal Contact form. For anything else, including questions about these Terms and refund requests, use our Contact Us form or email [email protected].
21.2. We aim to acknowledge messages within a reasonable time. Please include your in game username and, where relevant, the order reference for any purchase.
